ML and Vision Researcher at Saips (a Ford motor company)

In 2016-2021 I was a Member of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. My work involved deep learning applications, including agriculture, robotics and ultra-sound processing, and explainable AI methods.

Before that I worked in the Research departments of Microsoft (2012-216), General Motors (2008-2012), and Intel (2006-2008), developing ML+Vision for natural user interface (Microsoft Research), computer vision and sensor fusion for automotive (GM Research), machine learning methods for computing grid optimization (Intel Research).

I have a Math and Philosophy first degree from Tel Aviv University , and a PhD in Neural computation from the Hebrew University under the supervsion of Prof. Daphna Weinshall . MY Thesis focused on distance function learning and generative models for computer vision problems.

My research interests are in machine learning, computer vision, and their applications. In machine learing, I was always interested in representation: distance learning, feature selection and deep learning. In Computer Vision, I have interest in the problems of object detection, pose estimation, and tracking.
